Irene Garner

Irene Garner, 90, of Frankfort, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Wesley Manor.

She was born December 1, 1921, in Clinton County, the daughter of Ray and Elsa Clauser Smith.

On April 18, 1971, she married Rev. Paul Garner in Lafayette; he preceded her in death on January 25, 2007.

Irene was a member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed music.  She worked as a dental assistant in Lafayette, Rossville, and Delphi.

Surviving Irene are her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Beverly Daniels of Englewood, FL; two step daughters, Joyce Fritz and Patricia Taylor, both of Mishawaka; one sister-in-law, Marion Smith of Rossville; three grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Herschel Smith.

Friends may call on Monday, September 10, 2012, at Wesley Manor Chapel from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m.  Pastor Michael Lawson will officiate.  Burial will follow in Fair Haven Cemetery in Mulberry.

Memorials in Irene’s name may be made to Wesley Manor Good Samaritan Fund.
