Jack K. Hickson, 69, of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at his home.
He was born February 20, 1947, in Lebanon, to the late William Wesley and Nora Alice Adair Hickson. On March 24, 1968, he married Kay Decker, sharing 48 years together; Kay survives.
In 1965, Jack graduated from Frankfort Senior High School. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. Before retiring in 1997, he worked for GM-Allison Transmission in Indianapolis for 31 years. During his retirement, Jack had worked at Marsh Supermarket. He was a member of the American Legion and 40&8. Jack was a giving person, always sharing the bounty of his cooking. He enjoyed having coffee with the guys at VP, farming, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Mounts, of Lafayette; two grandsons, Quentin Mounts and Justin Mounts; three brothers-in-law, John Decker, Gary Decker, and Bill Decker; and sister-in-law, Joyce Tice Decker.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, one brother-in-law, Bob Decker; and two sisters-in-law, Penny Zink and Joyce Decker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Williams officiating.
