Jack Lee Ewing passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 5:25 a.m. surrounded by his family. Jack is reunited with the love of his life, Jean Louise Ewing, who passed away January 24, 1985. Jack was employed at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis for several years before retiring in 1985.
Jack had a passion for baseball and enjoyed coaching all three sons during their Little League days. Jack had a competitive edge but was always a positive influence on the many players that he coached throughout the years. He spent many hours watching the Chicago Cubs and was thrilled to finally celebrate their World Series Championship. Jack also enjoyed listening to country music, playing cards, fishing, celebrating holidays with family, cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers, and watching his grandchildren participate in sporting events.
Surviving Jack are his three sons and their spouses, Nevin (Jan), Brian (Debbie), and Jerry (Tina) Ewing. Jack is also survived by seven grandchildren, Nicole and Cal Ewing, Kia (Jeremy) Rushton, and Maci (Aaron) Mathews, and Samuel, Mary, and Joseph Ewing. He was also blessed with five great grandchildren, Mallory Martin, Lucas, Avery, and Brantley Rushton, and Paisley Mathews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from noon to the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Chuck Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Kilmore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jackâs name may be made to Frankfort Little League, Clinton County Boys & Girls Club, or the Lupus Foundation.
