James Brian Shaw
James Brian Shaw, 52, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
He was born November 20, 1963, in Frankfort. His mother, Linda Halsema Bentley, and step-father, Morris Bentley, survive in Kentucky. Daniel Head, whom Brian considered his dad, preceded him in death.
Brian received his associateâs degree in heating and cooling from Ivy Tech in 1990, and then worked as a technician in that field throughout his life.
In addition to his mother and step-father, Brian is survived by his life partner and soul mate of over 20 years, Colette Sheets; and step sister, Kathryn Head.
A private family service will be held at a later date Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family defray costs. Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
