James ""Jim"" Neese

James David “Jim” Neese, 77 of Colfax, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Witham Extended Care in Lebanon.  He was born March 5, 1940 in Zionsville to Richard Leon and Edith Evelyn (Essex) Neese.

Jim was a mail carrier in Zionsville and Frankfort and was also a farmer all throughout his life.  He was a “people person,” was very friendly and was a member of Countryside Christian Fellowship in Lebanon, where he served with leadership.  He also enjoyed toy tractors and toy cars.

On September 4, 1971, Jim married the former Pauline Denman, with whom they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.

Surviving family includes wife, Pauline Neese of Colfax; one son, David Leon (Jill) Neese; one daughter, Dana Marie Neese; grandchildren, Heath and Ollie and one sister, Joan Timmons of Whitestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janet Shoemaker.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Countryside Christian Fellowship in Lebanon with visitation on hour prior.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim may be made to either the Gideons International or to the Alzheimer's Association.  Arrangements were entrusted to Genda Funeral Home, Frankfort.  www.gendafuneralhome.com
