James Martin Housley, 68, of Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.
He was born May 20, 1946, in Puerto Rico, to Robert G. and Jimmette (Simpson) Housley Sr.
James was a graduate of Gavit High School in Hammond. He then served in the United States Army from February 8, 1968 to February 6, 1970. James was a mail carrier for 30 years for the United States Postal Service in Hammond before retiring in 2005.
Surviving are two sons, Tony (Kelly) Housley and Ron Housley; one daughter, Tina Yost; two sisters, Barbara Eyler and Diane Gamblin; four brothers, Robert G. Housley Jr., Billy Housley, Donnie Housley, and Tommy Housley; eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Visitation for James will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. EDT. Dr. Lon Kaminsky will officiate.
