James M. Norris, 85, of Frankfort, died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Wesley Manor.
He was born March 5, 1927 in Kokomo, to Herbert and Glendola (Michael) Norris. He married Rita Woolfington on Jan. 20, 1952. She survives.
Mr. Norris graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1945. He was a self-employed carpenter and farmer. He was a member of Manson Congregational Christian Church, where he had served as a deacon and had former been a choir member; former member of Moose Lodge; and served in the National Guard
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Julie (Roger) Gregory of West Lafayette and Margie (Rick) Davis of Franklin; three sons: Michael (Sandy) Norris, Bradley Norris and Howard (Teresa) Norris, all of Frankfort; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: John W. Norris.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 25 at Genda Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26 at the funeral home, with Rick Davis officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimerâs Association.
