James Michael Simpson Jr, 29, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Randolph County from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born March 15, 1991, in Gainesville, FL to James Michael Simpson and Denise Lambert Davis.
James was a 2009 graduate of Keystone Heights High School in Keystone Heights, Florida then served in the US Army for 6 years. James worked for JD Trucking and formerly for Ostler Farms and Demeree Trucking. He was a member of Faith Family Church and enjoyed spending his Tuesday nights with the Bible study group. He loved Harley Davidson’s, semi-trucks, truck pulls, demolition derbies, but most importantly he loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
James is survived by his father, James Michael Simpson of Jacksonville, FL; mother, Denise (Shane) Davis of Indianapolis; step-father, Jeff (Mally) Myers of Frankfort; sisters, Melissa Ordway of Jacksonville, FL, Kayla (Justin) Brown of Indianapolis, Brittany (Jeremy) Mitchell of Mooresville, Amber (Nathan) Looney of Union, Missouri and Shawn Simpson of New York, New York; step brothers, Aaron (Brooke) Carlson of Lebanon and Ryan (Jennifer) Carlson of Frankfort and several nieces nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Pamela (Buc) Buchanan.
Visitation will be held, Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 11am until the time of the service at 2pm at Faith Family Church 508 W Green St, Frankfort, IN 46041. Pastor Mark Sanders, Pastor Ron Masters and Rob Hollibaugh will officiate. A live stream of the funeral service will be available at www.gendafuneralhome.com for those who would like to join virtually. Military rites will be performed by the US Army and the Clinton County Honor Guard.
In adherence to the current CDC guidelines, it is requested that guests follow the appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks. Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is entrusted with the arrangements.
