James "Jim" T. Smith

James T. “Jim” Smith, 77, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson.  He was born June 11, 1943 in Flora to Fay J. and Ruby (Young) Smith.  He was a graduate of Colfax High School.  He worked for General Motors for 30 years as a crane operator.  Jim enjoyed camping, gardening, woodworking, fishing at the northern Indiana lakes in the summer and spending the winters in Texas. 

Jim is survived by his wife, Louise (Spray) Smith; sons, Greg (Charlene) Smith of Frankfort, Rick Smith of Frankfort, Tim (Mike) Smith of Indianapolis, and Kip (Jane) Smith of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Ashley (Brent) Ferguson, Kayla (Brandon) Dubree, and Catherine (Saiyd) Mack; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Sayler; and a daughter, Kristle Smith.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Genda Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clinton County Humane Society or plant a tree in his honor.
