James R. McKinley
James R. McKinley, 72, of Lakes Wales, FL formerly of Flora, IN, passed away at Life Care Center in Winter Haven, FL on Thursday, January 24, 2013.
He was born September 7, 1940, in Logansport, IN, the son of Emerson and Frances Jones McKinley.
James worked for Delco Electronics in Kokomo for 30 years before retiring in 1995. After his retirement, he moved from Flora, IN, to Lake Wales, FL. He was an avid fisherman.
Surviving James are his wife of 37 years, Jean Kelly-McKinley; three sons, Don McKinley of Lafayette, IN and Mike McKinley of Lafayette, IN, and Mark McKinley of Jonesboro, AR; one step-son, Sam Balser of North Manchester, IN; nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one step daughter, Pamela Rainwater.
Visitation for James will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora from 11 am until the funeral service at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
