James T. Burt

James T. Burt, 59, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born January 4, 1957, in Tipton, to Tom and Dorothy Phillips Burt; his parents survive in Frankfort.  He was formerly married to Sheila Reed.

James attended Clinton Central High School.  Throughout his life, he worked ING-RICH, Prairie Industries, and National Cigar.  He was a past member of Hillisburg Volunteer Fire Department and the Moose Lodge.

In addition to his parents, James is survived by his companion, Brenda Harris of Frankfort; daughters, Martha (Michael) Sparks and Ginny Keesling (former husband, Jason), both of Anderson; Sister, Ann Cummings of Thorntown; brothers, Bob Burt of Cutler, Phil Burt of Greensburg, Larry Burt of Frankfort, and Rick Burt of Michigantown; three grandchildren, Ivan Robbins, J. Wesley Keesling, and Deana Sparks; one niece and ten nephews, and two great nieces.

James is preceded in death by a brother, nephew, and granddaughter.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 p.m. to the start of the service at 6:00 p.m.  Memorials may be made in James’ name to help the family with expenses.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
