Jane E. Zink, 83, of Frankfort, formerly of Lafayette, passed away at her residence, Wednesday, July 4, 2018. She was born January 21, 1935 in Logansport to Bernard and Mary (Kramer) Bergin. She was a 1953 graduate of Logansport High School and also St. Elizabeth College. She worked for over 30 years as an Operating Room Technician for Dr. John Fritch until her retirement in 1996. She married the love of her life, Richard Charles Zink, January 31, 1959, he survives. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she served with the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed working outside with flowers and in the garden, canning, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Along with her husband, Jane is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Norman) Allen of Attica, Lori (Jeff) Stover of Frankfort; and grandchildren, Cecelia Allen of Attica, Jessica Allen of Tipton, Justin, Clayton, and Chase Stover all of Frankfort.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Thomas Bergin and Mary Ellen Theisen.
Visitation will be from 9-11am, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Gruber Hall with the Rosary beginning at 9am. Funeral Mass will follow at 11am, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Father Chris Miller will officiate. Arrangements are with Genda Funeral Home.
Graveside committal will be 2pm, Saturday, at Oxford Catholic Cemetery (“St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery”) in Oxford.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
