Janet A. Dunk, 57, of Rossville passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at her home. She was born May 24, 1959 in Lafayette to Ned and Audrey (Gochenour) Ruch.
Janet graduated from Clinton Prairie in 1977, attended Ivy Tech and then went on to earn her Bachelors Degree from Indiana Wesleyn. She was the chemistry supervisor at I.U. Health Arnett and had previously worked at Clinton County Hospital. She was a member of St. Luke Church where she served as Consistric President. She was a supporter of 4-H and many of its projects and was a fan of Purdue sports, the Colts and the Cubs. She liked to read and crochet; she would often make gifts for coworkers and friends. Janet had a love for animals and found her peace on the river.
On May 31, 1986, Janet married Phillip Dunk, with whom she celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. He survives in Rossville with their son, Derek (fiancée Danielle) Dunk of Mulberry; one grandson, Hunter; Janetâs father, Ned Ruch of Mulberry; one brother, Jay (Betty) Ruch of Frankfort; mother-in-law Marilyn Dunk of Rossville, brother-in-law Jeff (Ann) Dunk of Frankfort.
Visitation will be from 1:00p.m. - 6:00pm Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Genda Funeral Homeâ Rossville Chapel. The funeral service will be 6:00p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Luke Church or to Rossville F.F.A.
