Janet E. Lewis
Janet E. Lewis, 67, of Lafayette, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
She was born Sept. 6, 1944 in Lafayette, to Hanford and Mariam (McGuire) Virgin.
She had lived in Clinton and Tippecanoe counties. She worked for Landis Gear and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by two daughters: Jenny Ferry and Cristi Lewis; two sons: Jeff Ferry and Tim Lewis; two sisters: Barb (Herman) Shumate and Bev (Don) Hufford; two brothers: Chuck Virgin and Dick Virgin; six grandchildren: Hailey Sinks, Cadence Snapp, Asher Snapp, Jake Weatherford, Janelle Weatherford and Jessie Ferry; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 14 at Fair Haven Cemetery, with Ross Terry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
