Janet Kay Scott Gascho, 65, Mulberry, died 11:22 a.m. Sept. 10, 2011 at IU Health Hospital, Lafayette.
She was born Oct. 20, 1945 in Clinton County to Robert E. and Betty Jane (Crum) Scott. She married Tim McCoy Oct. 9, 1965, they later divorced. She then married Robert Gascho on July 25, 1994 and he survies.
Janet graduated from Jefferson High School, was homemaker who loved her car, the âBlack Beauty,â loved to cook and sew and loved her grandchildren and great grandsons and her rocking chair on her front porch.
He is survived by her father of Mulberry; her husband of Mulberry; sister Pat Douglass of Frankfort; granddaughter Brittany Nicole Crick of Lafayette; grandson Jeremy Ross (wife McKenna) Crick of Lafayette; two great-grandsons Jason Robert Gideon and Hayden James Crick; nieces, Cindy (Mark) Newbold of Wake Forest, N.C., Charlotte (Mike) Carlson of Frankfort; nephew Larry Douglass of Frankfort; aunts Mildred Hemmerling of Frankfort, Wilma Scott of Mulberry, Orpha Crum of Lafayette; three great-nieces; six great-nephews; one great-great niece; several step-nieces and nephews and lots of cousins.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Renee Crick, who died Aug. 15, 2008.
A celebration of life will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Bodine Funeral Home, Mulberry, with Pastor Alan Downing officiating. Private burial will be in Fair Haven Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to service at Bodineâs.
