Janice Lee See, 76, a life-long Frankfort resident and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
She was born June 27, 1940 in Frankfort, to Donald and Irene (Wills) Pickering. On August 25, 1962 in Frankfort, Janice married Millard M. See; he survives.
Janice graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1958. She was the leasing agent for Turtle Creek Apartments for many years, helped with laundry at Clinton House, and was the cafeteria manager at Zachary Confections and Kyger Schools. Janice also cooked at the Elks. She was a member of Woodside Christian Church where she taught Sunday school and was past president of Woodside PTA. Janice was past president of the Democrat Womenâs Club in Frankfort, and member of the Women of the Moose in Frankfort.
In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by her children, Sherel Thorne and Janessa (Tony) Hall, both of Frankfort; one brother, Edward âButchâ Pickering, of Frankfort; nine grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Janice was preceded in death by one son, Millard âMoeâ See II, daughter and son-in-law, Kenni Irene and Michael Montgomery; her parents, step-father, Kenneth Kaser; and two brothers, David Pickering and Dennis Pickering.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 3:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Williams officiating.
