Jared Allen Layton

Jared Allen Layton, age 29, of Rossville, died early Sunday morning due to a single car accident in Clinton County.

Jared was born on October 6, 1986 in Lafayette to David and Carol (Kremer) Layton. He was a 2005 graduate of Rossville High School. He formerly enjoyed motorcycle stunt riding. He was employed with DeFouw Chevrolet in Lafayette. Jared never knew a stranger. He was a kind, loving and helpful soul who would do anything to help out a friend or a stranger.

Survivors include his parents, David and Carol Layton of Rossville; four brothers, Benjamin A. Layton of Harwich, MA, Gregory A. Layton of Rossville, Daniel A. Layton of Zionsville and Cory A. Layton of Greenfield, IN; maternal grandparents, Alfred and Martha Kremer of West Lafayette.

Funeral services for Jared will be held at Genda Funeral Home, Rossville Chapel on Wednesday June 15, 2016 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, June 14th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral. Burial will immediately follow at Rossville Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home or memorial contributions can be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
