Jarmila Kay Smith, 69, of Mulberry, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015, at her home.
She was born September 29, 1945, in Frankfort, to Ralph and Arlene Wilson Danner. On June 2, 1962, she married J.P. Smith; he survives.
A lifelong resident of Clinton County, Jarmila was a member of Frankfort High School class of 1963. After 28 years of service, she retired from Mulberry Health and Retirement Community where she worked in the kitchen. Jarmila was a member of the 1963 Breakfast Club, a bookworm, and an avid sports fan especially for the Cowboys and Dodgers. Whether as a mom or grandma, she was the truest fan of family, showing them her love and support always.
In addition to her husband, Jarmila is survived by one son, Tom (Susan) Smith of Frankfort; daughter, Brenda (Thomas) Stock of Waynesville, OH; three sisters, Lynette Weaver, Sharon Goodwin, and Karen Hickman, all of Frankfort; one brother, Herb Danner of Frankfort; five grandchildren, Jeff, C.J., Kent, Mollie, and Jacob; and one great grandson, Liam.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Steve Smith will officiate.
