Jason Lee Remaly, 42, of Rossville, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014, at IU Arnett Health Hospital in Lafayette.
Jason was born January 16, 1972, the son of Wayne and Gwen Roth Remaly; they survive.
Jason lived all his life in Owasco while surrounded by the best neighbors in the world. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1991, and became a Certified Nurseâs Assistant at the Indiana Veteransâ Home where he enjoyed both the veterans and his coworkers for 17 years. He loved all the veterans he cared for and strived to give them the best care.
Jason was an avid reader with a great love of books. He enjoyed collecting Disney memorabilia and all things pertaining to Christmas. Jason loved many things. He loved god; his Savior Christ Jesus; his immediate and extended family. After these loves was his love for the beauty of Christmas, beginning with the promise given with the Christ Child. He honored the Child born of Mary all his life.
His love of Christmas spanned the wonderful story of giving that is Santa Claus. Jason believed in Santaâs spirit all his life.
In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by a big brother, Craig; sister by marriage, Elizabeth; two special nieces, Jessica and Emma; a special nephew, Steven; 17 wonderful cousins; two beloved aunts; and two cherished uncles.
He is preceded in death by an infant brother, Scotty; four of the best grandparents, three treasured aunts, and two adored uncles. Jason was also preceded by his pet and companion of 17 years, Jake, âThe Boss Cat.â
Visitation for Jason will be held at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel on Saturday, December 6, 2014, from 9 a.m. to the start of service at 11 a.m. Pastor Guy Studebaker will officiate.
