Wilma âJeanâ Laflen, 82, of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health East in Lafayette. She was born March 7, 1935 in Newcomb, Tennessee to Jesse Leroy and Ella Mae (Schubert) Beebe.
Jean graduated from Forest High School and worked for PR Mallory, Harmanson and Alcoa. She was a member of Zion Apostolic Tabernacle, American Legion Ladiesâ Auxiliary, VFW Ladiesâ Auxiliary, Ladies of the Moose, and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary
On September 6, 1952, Jean married James Marion Laflen and together celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary before he preceded her in death on December 27, 1994. She then married Roger Impson in Florence, Kentucky on March 12, 2001, he survives with Jeanâs children Dennis (Nancy) Laflen of Forest, Allen (Judy) Laflen of Lebanon, Rhonda (Tom) Dillon of Bringhurst, Teena Davey of Frankfort, Lisa Fording of Frankfort and Deanna (Jim) Day of Frankfort; 28 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is one brother, Lester Beebe of Indiana; one sister, Maxine Eldridge of Georgiana, Alabama and Roger's children, Jim, Joe, Mary, Rebecca, Bethann and Faith and their families.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, James; one son, Timothy; daughter, Julie; two brothers, John and Harry and two sisters, Thelma and Joan.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert E. Hackler officiating.
