Jessica N. Schimmel

Jessica Nicole Schimmel, 36, of Michigantown, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016.

She was born June 18, 1979, in Lafayette, to Jim and Terri Hixson Laflen; her parents survive.  Jessica was married to Jim Schimmel; he survives.

Jessica attended Frankfort Senior High School and later achieved her G.E.D.  She also attended Ivy Tech.  Jessica was a stay-at-home mom who loved the outdoors and riding motorcycles.

Also surviving are her daughters, McKenzie Hurless and Ava Schimmel; and one sister, Jennifer Scott.

Visitation will be held at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m.  Pastor Daniel Miller will officiate.  A private inurnment will be held at a later date.  Memorials in Jessica’s name may be made to “The Way Out,” P.O. Box 214, Frankfort, IN, 46041.  

Two wheels, the family invites everyone to join for a final ride around town.  Line-up will begin at 5:30 p.m.  Please call the funeral home with any questions.
