Joan Elizabeth Frey, 90, of Flora, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. She was born in Flora on June 8, 1931, to Carl and Mary (Cline) Draper. She married Wallace Worrell November 1955; they later divorced. She married Roman Frey May 1974; he preceded her in death in April 1994.
Joan was a graduate from Flora High School, class of 1950. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Bruce Meyer from 1962 until 2000, and then for Dr. Steven Herr from 2000 until retiring in 2008. Joan was an 80 year past member of the Living Faith Church of the Brethren. She was a past member of Delta Theta Chi, a square dancer in the “Country Kickers” club. Joan enjoyed spending the winter months in Mission, Texas.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Cindy Langston of Flora; son, Wallace “JR” (Karen) Worrell of LaPine, Oregon; stepson, Mark (Marilyn) Frey of Monticello; four grandchildren, Andrew (Elizabeth) Langston of Cutler, Abby (Ben) Constable of Burlington, Tiffany Worrell of Redmond, Oregon; and Jackie Worrell of Lincoln City, Oregon; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roman; two sisters, Marjorie Trent and Martha Unz; one brother, Joe Draper; and one great-grandchild Asher Constable.
Family burial will take place at a later date in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s honor to the Living Faith Church of the Brethren.
