Joan G. Loveless

Joan Grace Bickett Loveless, 77, of Flora, formerly of Rossville, died at 1:09 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at Clarian Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born July 11, 1933, to the late Amelia Hope Grove in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
She married James E. Bickett in October 1953. He preceded her in death in 1987. She married Joseph E. Loveless in November 1989. He preceded her in death in 2000.
She worked in geriatrics for 15 years at the old Mulberry Lutheran Home and 18 years at Milner Healthcare as a qualified medical sssistant, practical nurse and licensed - certified medical sssistant.
She enjoyed breaking, riding and training horses, older people, playing guitar, singing, animals, knitting, crocheting and entertaining her family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra J. Knight (husband: Thomas) of Pittsburg, N.Y., and Melodie J. Brower (husband: Alan) of Flora; and one step-daughter Peggy Enos (husband: Jack) of Coughlin, Ill.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Virginia Crane; 1 brother and 2 stepsons.

Services are Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at 3 p.m. in Rossville at Bodine Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Jones will be officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery. Calling hours are 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at Bodine's. Memorials can be made to American Lung Association.
