Joan "Jo" Marie Ford

Joan “Jo” Marie Ford, 60, of Geetingsville, passed away at her home, Tuesday, February 4, 2020.  She was born in Terre Haute on August 24, 1959 to Jesse and Patricia (Flora) Boyd.  She was a 1977 graduate of Delphi High School.  Jo served her life as a Paramedic for many counties; including Carroll, Clinton, Cass, Howard, Tippecanoe and Marion.  Her heart was for serving and teaching others through the care she gave as a paramedic.  She was most proud of the 17 babies that she was able to help deliver during her time as a paramedic.  Jo was a member of the Brothers of the Third Wheel, Trike club and she enjoyed riding trikes, crocheting and was a lover of cats.

Jo is survived by her husband of 16 years, Fred Ford; children, Brett Wood of Jasper, Brock Wood of Gettingsville, Will Ford, Brenna Ford, Brooke Ford, and Bailey Ford all of Kokomo; sister, Beth Irwin of Jefferson, OH; aunt, Sue Stingley of Flora; three grandchildren, Chris Wood, Kasyn Taylor and Za’Rya Taylor; and one grandchild on the way, Zamora Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jeremy Wood.

A memorial service will be held 3pm, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Delphi Wesleyan Church, 508 N. Union St., Delphi, IN 46923.  Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel is assisting with the arrangements.
