John David Timmons

John David Timmons, 54, a lifelong Frankfort resident, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.

He was born September 10, 1959, in Frankfort, the son of Orville E. and Marjorie (Vail) Timmons.  On November 5, 1979, he married the former Brenda Gilmore in Frankfort; she survives.

John graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1977.  He was currently employed with Bunnell Cemetery as the groundskeeper.  John was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.  He is described by his family as “the best ever in all he did.”

In addition to his wife, John is survived by one son, John D. “Pete” (Kayla Moore) Timmons of Frankfort; four daughters, Nancy A. (Aaron Fife) Timmons of Lafayette, Melissa S. Timmons and Christina N. Timmons, both of Frankfort, and Amy Lynn Timmons; three sisters, Susan (Obie) Gregory, Diana (Jeff) Fisher, and Joy Bowling; and nine grandchildren, Haley Rose, Kelsey Rennae, Logan David, Masson Douglas, Jonathon Caden, Breanna, Abby, Anthony, and A.J.

John is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Richardson.

Visitation for John will be held from 2 – 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Funeral service for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014, at First Church of the Nazarene in Frankfort with Pastor Gregg Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in John’s memory may be made to First Church of the Nazarene.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
