John David Webb, 77, of Michigantown, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.
He was born March 10, 1938, in Tell City, to Herman and Louise Holtzman Webb.
John attended Michigantown Schools most of his life, moved his senior year of high school, and graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1957. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was stationed in Germany before his discharge in 1967. John worked as a printer at L.S. Ayres in Indianapolis before retiring and moving back to the Michigantown farm in 2001. He worked part time in as a grounds keeper at Morningstar Golf Course in Indianapolis.
Surviving John are his companion, Wanda Surber of Michigantown; brother, Ralph (Sarah) Webb of Michigantown; sister, Marilyn Somsel of Kokomo; and 31 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brothers, Carroll âBudâ Webb, Frank Webb, Norman Webb, Walter Webb, and Jim Webb; and his sisters, Estelle Lottes, Rovilla Lykken, Wilma Edwards, and Ruth Webb.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, February 25, 2016, with Pastor Karl Kercheval officiating.
