John W. Favors of Frankfort, passed away due to complications of dementia on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.
He was born November 1, 1936, to John and Maggie Riley Favors. On April 22, 1956, he married Mary M. Waggoner; she survives.
John attended Sugar Creek High School, graduating in 1954. He worked for 32 years at Chrysler before his retirement. John enjoyed auto racing, fishing, and his family. He was also a former Little League coach.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his son, James (Patty) Favors; daughters, Cheryl (Ken) Burtner and Becky (Matt) Potts; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, and one sister.
John was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and three sisters.
A celebration of life will be held at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, on Saturday, August 29, 2015, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Johnâs name may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association. Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
