Joseph C. Bessler

Joseph C. Bessler, 77, of Frankfort and formerly of Kokomo, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Wesley Manor.  He was born on January 19, 1945, in Palm Beach, Florida, to Joseph F. and Marjorie (Schwab) Bessler.

Joseph was a 1962 graduate of Bunker Hill High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.  He served in the United States Army.  He was a member of Soul’s Harbor Missionary Baptist Church.

Joseph is survived by his children, Waylan (Jessica) Bessler of Frankfort and Alyssa (James III) Moreland of Kokomo; and his grandchildren, Keeleigh, Karleigh, and Jackson Bessler and Makayla, Andrea, and James Moreland IV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a twin brother, James Bessler; and wife, Diane Bennett.

No services are planned.  Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Memorials in Joseph’s honor may be made to Soul’s Harbor Missionary Baptist Church.
