Joyce Ann Houchens

Joyce Ann Houchens, 59, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  

She was born September 18, 1954, in Frankfort, to Raymond Paul and Mary Louise Muey Houchens.  

Joyce, a life-long Frankfort resident, graduated from Frankfort High School in 1972.  From 1973 to 1981, Joyce worked for Peter Paul.  In 1988, she began working at Exide until 1997.  She then went to work for Federal Mogul.  Joyce was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church.  She was a lifetime Girl Scout, former Girl Scout leader, and former Big Sister with the Big Brother Big Sister program.

Surviving Joyce are her sister, Cathy Louise (Richard) Scott of Frankfort; nephews, Matthew (Megan) Scott and Kyle (Amie) Scott; great niece, Tru Scott; and great nephewS, Treyton Scott and Cooper Scott.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her step-mother, Susie Houchens; and daughter, Autumn R. Greeno.

Visitation for Joyce will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Frankfort, from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.  Pastor Justin Fisher will officiate.  Burial will follow in Kilmore Cemetery.  Memorials in Joyce’s name may be made to Autumn R.
