Joyce Ann Kanatzer

Joyce Ann Kanatzer, 64 of Frankfort passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at IU Health University Hospital, Indianapolis.

Joyce was born May 15, 1952 in Clinton County, Indiana to James Robert and Donnabelle Gard Snodgrass. Joyce was a lifelong Frankfort resident; she attended Frankfort High School and worked as a cashier at Dairyland.  Joyce enjoyed crocheting, loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandson and enjoyed her dogs; Abby and Scooter.

On June 25, 1968, Joyce married Dennis K. Kanatzer, he survives with children Mark (companion Julee Fisher) Kanatzer and Lacey A. (Justin “Will”) Eberle, all of Frankfort; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Emily, Vernoica “Ronee”, Spencer, and Cooper; great-grandchild, Linkoln James, foster children, Lester, DJ and Scott; one sister, Connie (Shady) Lane; step-sister, Jean (John) Cullin; step-brothers, Duane (Linda) Terry and Bill (Lisa) Terry; step-mother, Louise Terry Snodgrass and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Cindy Cox and step-father, James Stovall.

Visitation will be from Noon-2:00p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with the funeral service beginning at 2:00p.m.  Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort.  Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society or your local Humane Society.
