Joyce Ann Royer

Joyce Ann Russell Royer, 62, of Frankfort, passed away on September 12, 2012.

Joyce was born on March 9, 1950, in Frankfort, the daughter of Kenneth and Irene Kennedy Russell.

A 1968 graduate of Clinton Central, Joyce attended the Business College of Kokomo. On August 13, 1977, Joyce married David C. Royer; he survives.

She lived in Clinton County most of her life.  Joyce worked for 13 years as the City of Frankfort Utility Service Auditor and 8 years in the Billing Office Utilities. Joyce was an Area 4 coordinator of the Special Olympics for two years and actively supported the Special Olympics.

She is survived by her mother; a son, Gordon Scott Royer (wife, Jennifer) of Frankfort; a grandson, Dakota; and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her father and brother, Dale Russell.  

Visitation for Joyce will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 4-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at the funeral home with Celebrant Chad Douglass officiating.  Burial will follow in Mounts Runn Cemetery in Whitestown.
