Judith Ann Bougher, 77, of Ft. Myers, FL, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
She was born December 17, 1937, in Rossville, the daughter of John and Vivian Shaffer DeBoy. On December 20, 1957, she married Gerald R. Bougher M.D.; he survives.
Judith graduated from Cutler High School and later attended Purdue University and Butler. As a career mother and grandmother, she managed the family investments side by side with her husband of 57 years. Judith was a member of Tri Kappa, many bridge groups, and Central Presbyterian Church in Lafayette. She was referred to as some as âSt. Judy.â
In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by her sons, Joe A. (Linda) Bougher of Monticello, and Jeff (Susan) Bougher formerly of West Lafayette; daughter, Jacqueline Bougher Trueblood M.D. (Eric Trueblood M.D.) of Bloomington; two brothers, Gary (Beth) DeBoy and Gail (Melinda) DeBoy, both of Rossville; grandchildren, Holly (Nate) Hilby, Justin Bougher, Alexandria Bougher, Benjamin Trueblood, and Elizabeth Trueblood.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon Sparks.
Visitation for Judith will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 2:00 â 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Bougher officiating.
