Judy K. Swope, 60, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, at her home.

She was born November 25, 1952, in Columbia, Kentucky, the daughter of Samuel and Myrtle Jesse Moore.  Judy married Stephen Swope 42 years ago; he survives.

Throughout her life, Judy worked at Peter Paul, General Foods, Zachary Confections, and Frito Lay where she retired.  Judy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, swimming, taking vacations, shopping, cooking, and animals especially her cats.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by one daughter, Stephanie (James) Smith; one son, Corey Swope (companion, Trista Winchester); four grandchildren, Corbin Goodwin, Hank Smith, Emily Smith, and Rebbecca Hess; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Donny Moore and Dalton Moore; and granddaughter, Gabrielle Swope.

Visitation for Judy will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, from 4-8 pm at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Mowery officiating.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Judy's name may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.  On-line condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
