Julie Ann Singer, 55, formerly of Rossville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 1, 2014, in Georgetown, IL.
She was born October 16, 1958, in Lafayette, the daughter of Don and Margaret Ann Elkins Jackson. Julie married Keith Singer; he survives.
Julie graduated from Rossville High School in 1976 where she was a member of the National Speech Team. She later graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelorâs degree in business and human resources. She achieved her Masterâs degree from Wesleyan University. Julie worked as a womenâs care coordinator for Womenâs Care Clinic in Danville, IL, and also worked at Crowder CPA. Julie was a member of Latter Rain Fellowship where she was very active. She helped with the Danville Food Pantry. Julie was very active in her community and womenâs organizations. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was very active with her family especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Julie is survived by seven children, Aimee (Michael) Williamson, Megan (William) Hurst, Ben (companion, Wendy) Morrissey, Matthew (Bridgette) Singer, Angie (Nathan) Erwin, April (CJ) Prickett, and Leah Jones; two brothers, Larry (Judi) Jackson and Kevin (Kathy) Jackson; mother-in-law, Wanda Singer; 20 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Gordon Jackson, Monica Alexander, Abby Sandeifur, Miranda Sipe, Kristina Ragan, and Mirissa Klecz.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mona Jo Jackson; and aunt, Dorothy Jackson.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel. Funeral service for Julie will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastors Don Prouty and Chris Prouty officiating.
