Junior Ray Baker, 82, of Crawfordsville, formerly of Frankfort, passed away on Sat., Feb. 18, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
He was born April 20, 1934, in Frankfort to Oren and Freida Baker Moudy. On December 7, 1962, he married Sharon Bush; she survives.
Throughout his life, Junior worked at the Clinton Co. Highway Dept., Frankfort Street Dept., and later retired from National Cigar. He enjoyed detailing cars, taking care of the pot-bellied pigs, and yardwork. Junior never knew a stranger.
Also surviving are his children, Russell (Linda) Baker, of Crawfordville, and Brian (Kim) Baker and Marlene (Oscar) Martinez, both of Frankfort; six grandchildren, Candi, Chris, Breanna, Chrissy, Jamie, and Anthony; and 12 great-grandchildren, Jaden, Levi, Noah, Kierra, Jordan, Cierra, Aaron, Dakota, Austin, Ally, and Nathan.
Junior is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be held at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, on Wed., Feb. 22, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jim Roach will officiate. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort. Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
