Karen Sue Green, 57, of Flora, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. She joined her Heavenly Father after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born July 24, 1958, in Lafayette, to James and Virginia Long Bellah. On May 28, 2005, she married William Conley Green; he survives.
Karen graduated Rossville High School in 1976. She was self-employed as an insurance agent. Karen enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Karen is survived by her children, Stephanie (Kurt) Ziems of Kokomo, Reanna (Aaron) Ramsey of Mulberry, Drew McCombs of Flora, and Kiersten McCombs of Lafayette; step-children, William Paul (Amberly) Green of Batesville, Devonna Green of Batesville, John Green of Florida, and Erica Green of Florida; siblings, Michael (Lynn Marie) Bellah of Westfield, Janet Blackburn of Rossville, and Donald Bellah of Lafayette; grandchildren, Ryan (Chelsea) Ziems, Christopher (Amy) Ziems, Bryce Ziems, Blaine Ramsey, Alexis Ramsey, Kendal Ziems, Caleb Green, Mason Green, Seth Phillips, Layne Phillips, and Orion Green; one great granddaughter, Macie Ziems; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Tommy.
Visitation will be held at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 2:00 â 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2015. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. Entombment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lafayette.
