Katherine Ann Ticen, 62, of Sedalia, died 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Frankfort to the late O. Lloyd and Earlean Meihls Poe.
She grew up in Lima, Ohio, and then moved to Frankfort in 1966. She then moved to Sedalia where she has resided since 1969. She married Thomas W. Ticen on Nov. 22,1968, in Frankfort. He survives. She was a homemaker and attended New Hope Community Church in Flora.
Surviving are one daughter, Angela R. Yost (husband: Jason) of Sedalia; one son, Todd W. Ticen, Gravois Mills, Mo.; and two sisters, Colleen K. Chambers (husband: Robert) of Lafayette, and Pamela J. Barrett of Frankfort.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Emily, Benjamin, Megan and Allison, and one great-grandchild, Noah.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville. Pastor Scott Gamel will be officiating. Burial will be at Geetingsville Cemetery. Calling hours are 12-2 p.m. Wednesday at Bodine's Rossville. Memorials can be direct to Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital Hospice.
