Kenneth William Hauser, 83, of Rossville, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at his home.
He was born April 27, 1934, in Romney, to Everett and Joycelyn Hudlow Hauser. On September 9, 1966, Kenneth married Marilou Brown; she preceded him in death on December 12, 2006.
Kenneth graduated from Romney High School in 1952 where he played on the basketball team, attended Purdue University, and then moved to Rossville in 1965. He retired from Fairfield as a machinist in 1995 after 35 years of service. Kenneth was a life member of the Mulberry Conservation Club; he enjoyed playing euchre, fishing in Wisconsin and at Kentucky Lake, and over-seeing his property from the seat of his John Deere.
Surviving Kenneth are his daughter, Tammie Hauser, of Rossville; grandchildren, Austin and Leila Barker; always a son-in-law in his heart, Brett Barker and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Hope Christine; two sisters, Lois Ratcliff and Dottie Thorpe; and one brother, Robert Hauser.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Alan Weldy will officiate. Burial will follow in Wyandotte Cemetery in Dayton. Memorials in Kennethâs name may be made to Rossville School Foundation, Rossville Lionâs Club, or the American Lung Association.
