Kenneth L. Gray, 89, a lifelong resident of Rossville, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
He was born December 24, 1925, in Rossville, to Morris and Bernice Latshaw Gray. On February 23, 1951, he married Mary Lu Witter; she survives.
Kenneth was 1944 graduate of Rossville High School. Throughout his life, Kenneth was a farmer and raised cattle. He also assisted his son in his equipment business. Kenneth was a member of Rossville United Methodist Church and served with his wife as youth leaders and in several other capacities including being a lay witness coordinator. He was an avid Purdue fan and golfer. Kenneth was one of the original group of 18 people to purchase and construct Angel Hill Golf Course.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by his son, Eric A. (Cindy) Gray of Rossville; daughter, Ann G. (Markam) Hines of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, April, Heidi, Gretchen, Esther, Abigail, Joy and Christian.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by one brother, Virgil Gray.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Rossville United Methodist Church from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015, at the church with Pastor Brian White officiating. Burial will follow in Rossville Cemetery. Memorials in Kennethâs name may be made to Rossville United Methodist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel.
