Kenneth Lee Scott

Kenneth Lee Scott, 75, of Jonesville, VA, formerly of Frankfort, passed away May 19, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.  He was born May 26, 1943 in Rose Hill, VA to Oscar Scott and Mabel (Cotrell) Davis.  He married Janet Thornton in 1961, and she survives. 

He worked as a foreman for the State Highway Department.  He enjoyed going to the flee market where he could “buy, sell, and trade.”  He loved playing on his guitar, and travelling to see his kids and grandkids. 

Along with his wife, Kenneth is survived by his children, Deanie Scott (Wayne Casey) of Jonesville, VA and Oscar Scott (Cindy) of Salem; brothers, Fred, Melvin, William, and John David Scott; sisters, Vinnie Hinkle, Jerelene Dias, and Linda Parks; and grandchildren, Chasity Childress, Justina Blackburn, Jarvis Lashbrook, Kenneth Scott, and Kaden Scott.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lonnie and Tommy Scott; and sister, Lori Bridgeman.

Visitation will be held from 12-2pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Graveside services will follow at Bunnell Cemetery.
