Kimberly A. Owen

Kimberly “Kim” A. Owen, 63, of Lafayette, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at St Elizabeth Health Campus in Delphi. She was born in Lafayette on March 25, 1961, to Leslie Owen and Ruth Ann (Troxel) Smith. 

Kim was a 1979 graduate of Lafayette Jeff High School. She worked as a Activities Director for Mulberry Health. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Lafayette. She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, and spending time with her pets: cat, Paisley and Dog, Peppermint. She adored her nieces and nephews and loved making memories with them. 

Along with her mother, Kim is survived by her sister, Kellie (Craig) Hills of Westfield; brothers, Troy (Katie) Owen of Fishers and Brent Smith of Connecticut; cousins, Mark (Tina) Goodnight and their son, Clayton and Tracie (Ryan) Eggers; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father; and her aunt and uncle. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 1pm until the time of the service at 3pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Mulberry Chapel. Pastor Todd Ladd will officiate. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Kim’s honor may be made to the Women of the Moose or the Almost Home Humane Society.
