Kurtis L. Jones
Kurtis L. Jones, 49, of Frankfort, died on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at his home.
He was born August 19, 1962, in Frankfort, the son of Roger and Bettie (Wilson) Jones. His father survives.
Kurtis married the former Tracy Smart; she survives.
He worked as a certifed welder for Cannam Steel in Lafayette, IN for 10 years and was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. Kurtis was a volunteer firefighhter in Clarks Hill. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Also surviving are his paternal grandmother, Mary Donaho; step father, Clarence Stoddard; son, Bobby Jones; daughter, Alisha Smart; brother, Jeffrey Jones; sister, Rhonda Jones; two grandchildren, Pryce Minnix and Makynzie Minnix; two uncles, Walt Wilson, Jr., and Kent Wilson; four nephews, Jeffrey, Jr., Jimmy and Troy Jones and Lee Spencer; and two neices, Bettie Ann and Whitney Rene Jones.
He is preceded in death by his mother, maternal grandmother, Virginia Wilson; and paternal grandfather, Vestal Jones.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at 5 pm at his home at 908 W. Barner St., Frankfort.
