Laura Louise Peterson
Laura Louise Peterson, 84, Lafayette, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at St. Anthony Health Care, Lafayette.
She was born May 22, 1927 in Clarks Hill, to Guy and Laura (Clark) Bowles.
She married Richard W. Peterson July 21, 1947. He died May 1, 1981.
Mrs. Peterson was the owner/operator of Clinton House from 1980 to 2007. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She graduated from Romney School; had LPN training; and served on Licensing Board for the State of Indiana Health Facility Administrators.
She is survived by two sons: William R. (Janice) Peterson of Clarks Hill and Joseph L. Peterson of Lafayette; and one granddaughter: Jennie Peterson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: John & Richard.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Genda Funeral Home, with Trent OâBrien officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Clinton County Cancer.
