Leo Ross Fisher, 95, of Monticello, died at his home on Wednesday, August 22, 2012.
He was born April 12, 1917, in Stockwell, the son of Virgil and Olga Hanna Platt Fisher.
On March 26, 1944, he married the former Martha Eileen Cornwell; she survives.
Leo attended Stockwell Schools. He worked as a general superintendent for Kettelhut Constructions for 32 years. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, and member of the NRA and Local 274 Laborers & Hod Carriers. Leo was a true outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and vegetable gardening.
Also surviving are one son, Jack B. and Linda Fisher of Monticello; one daughter, Marsha J. and Jerry Morlan of Monticello; one sister, Josie Hege of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Kendall, Miranda, Morgan, and Teresa; and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Charles, Frank, and Bob.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Rossville Cemetery in Rossville with Pastor Chris Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
