Leona Luper

Leona (Darland) Luper entered into heaven January 24.  Her hugs and faith touched many lives, as we picture her running into the arms of Jesus, her loving husband, Paul Luper, and son, John Luper.

She was born in Lincoln, Indiana, on February 13, 1929.  She met Paul in 1949 and after a six week courtship, shared 55 years of marriage.

Her faith and spirit will live on in her children, Marilee Hall, Steven Luper (Janet), Bruce Luper (Diana), and James Luper; her 17 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister, Jean Rutherford, and two brothers, James Darland (Marilyn) and Donald Darland.

A sister, Marie Wikel, and brothers, Bill, Richard, and Robert preceded her in death.

She touched the lives of everyone with her faith and hugs, sharing the love of Jesus with all she met, praying for the salvation of those she loved, so that one day, we will join her, this time forever.  She is safely home.
