Leonardo Hernandez Jimenez, 20, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, in a motorcycle accident in Frankfort. He was born April 8, 2001, in Frankfort, to Vicente Hernandez Ojeda and Maria De Lourdes Jimenez Escuadero.
Leo was actively working at NHK as a line assembler. He was also an active member of the National Guard. Leo had a passion for sport motorcycles; riding his motorcycle alongside his twin brother was his favorite hobby. Playing soccer, listening to “corridos” and country music, drawing, helping his father with construction work and spending time with his friends was the way he enjoyed his life. Leo always had a great smile to offer. He used to call his mother “Mi Chula” as a sign of his immense love for her. He lived life knowing, as his quote says, “tomorrow isn’t promised.” Leo will be remembered and sadly missed by a loving father, mother, brother, sister, grandmothers, grandfather, girlfriend, and many friends.
Leo is survived by his parents, Vicente and Maria; twin brother, Christofer Hernandez Jimenez (Pepe); sister, Abril Hernandez Jimenez; grandparents, Gildarlo Jimenez Morales, Maria Luisa Adela Escuadero Rodriguez, and Josefina Ojeda; and girlfriend, Allyson Timmons.
Leo is preceded in death by his grandfather; Porfirio Hernandez Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Rosary will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral mass will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Frankfort, with Fr. Paul Cochran officiating. Leonardo Hernandez Jimenez, de 20 años de edad, de Frankfort, fallecio el día Domingo, 1 de Agosto del 2021, en un accidente de motocicleta en Frankfort. Leo nacio el día 8 de Abril del 2001. Sus padres el señor Vicente Hernandez Ojeada y la señora Maria De Lourdes Jimenez Escuadero.
Leo trabajaba actualmente en la compania NHK y tambien era miembro activo de la Guardia Nacional. Leo tenía una gran pasión por las motocicletas deportivas. Manejar su moto al lado de su hernamo gemelo era su pasatiempo preferido. Jugando soccer, escuchando “corridos” y musica country, dibujando, ayudando a su papá con trabajos de construción y pasando tiempo con sus amigos fué como el vivió y disfruto su vida.
Leo siempre tenía una sonrisa que ofrecer. Solía llamar a su mamá “mi chula” como muestra de su gran amor por ella. El vivió su vida a base de lo que su dicho preferido desia “el mañana no es prometido.” Leo será recordado con mucho amor y sumamente extrañado por su padre, madre, hermano, hermana, abuelas, abuelo, novia y todos sus amigos.
Le sobreviven sus padres, Vicente y Maria; hermano gemelo, Christofer Hernandez Jimenez (Pepe); hermana, Abril Hernandez Jimenez; abuelos, Gildarlo Jimenez Morales, Maria Luisa Adela Escuadero Rodriguez, y Josefina Ojeda; y sú novia, Allyson Timmons.
Es precedido en muerte por su abuelo; Porfirio Hernandez Rodriguez.
Los eventos funerales se llevarán acabo el día Jueves 5 de Agosto, de 4 á 8 p.m. en la Funeraria Genda de Frankfort. El Rosario será de 6 á 7 p.m. del mismo día. La misa se llevará acabo el día Viernes 6 de Agosto, a la 1 p.m. en la Iglesia Santa Maria, con el padre, Paul Cochran.
