Lewis A. âBudâ Harshman, 85, of Mulberry, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016, at Mulberry Health and Retirement.
He was born June 16, 1930, in Lafayette, to the late Almon O. âShortyâ and Mildred L. Lewis Harshman. Budâs former wife and friend, Chloe Croson Harshman, survives.
Bud graduated from Mulberry High School in 1948, and later attended Bradley University. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as an airplane mechanic.
Throughout his life, Bud worked as a pipe fitter for Rockwood Sprinkler Works, as a mechanic at Dean Milk Co., as a driver for IDE Trucking, and in maintenance at Eli Lilly from 1964 to 1987. Bud was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union, NRA, American Motorcycle Association, Bird Dog Association, and the American Legion for over 62 years. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge.
