Lillian ""Jo"" Josephine Davy

Lillian Josephine “Jo” Davy, 87, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 1:15AM at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Community, where she had lived for the past 4 years.
Born January 14, 1924 to Dudley K. and Maggie (Paris) Beard, she was the youngest of three daughters who grew up in the Beard area and attended Hopewell Methodist Church.
A 1942 graduate of Michigantown High School, she worked at Purdue University, The Farmers Bank and was with Mallory Controls for 25 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church of Frankfort.
She was married to Elvin L. Fritz, deceased and John F. Davy, deceased. One sister Marjorie (husband Milo) Davis, preceded her in death, one sister Mary (husband Dale) McCain survives.
She is also survived by one son, Tolbert “Jim” Fritz and his wife Carolyn of Frankfort. Two grandchildren Lee D. Fritz of Chicago, IL and Megan Fritz Girard of Phoenix, AZ. Six great-grandchildren; Emily Fritz and Kaitlyn Fritz of Chicago, IL. MaryJane, Dominic, John and
Sarah Girard of Phoenix, AZ.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 1:00PM at Genda Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Mowery officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until service time at the funeral home and burial will take place at Hopewell Cemetery. Memorials may be designated to the First Baptist Church or Hopewell United Methodist Church.
