Linda Sue Deaton, 63, of Delphi, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at her home.
She was born November 20, 1950, in Lafayette, the daughter of Dean L. and Arzella Hall Draper; her mother survives in Delphi. On July 21, 1974, she married David C. Deaton; he survives.
Linda graduated from Delphi High School in 1969. In 1972, she graduated as valedictorian of St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Linda worked as a registered nurse for Wesley Manor from 1980 to 1991. She then worked for St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi until her retirement in 2012. Linda was a member of North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
In addition to her husband and mother, Linda is survived by one son, Nelson Ray Deaton of Delphi; two daughters, Abbey Dawn Deaton and Robyn Gayle Deaton, both of Delphi; one sister, Sherry Faker of Monticello; and two brothers, Greg Draper and Kevin Draper, both of Delphi.
Visitation for Linda will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will follow in North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery. Memorials in Lindaâs name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
