Lisha L. Young, 42, of Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at her home.
She was born June 13, 1972, in Tipton, to Roger and Darlene Meeks Burton; her mother survives in Frankfort. Lisha was raised by her grandparents, Larry Joe and Norma June Truax; her grandfather survives in Frankfort. She was formerly married to Scott Asher. On January 14, 2006, she married Jerry A. Young Jr.; he survives.
Lisha graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1990. She was near completion of her bachelor of science in computer programming from Colorado Technical University. Throughout her life, Lisha was a wife, mother, student, computer programmer, and teacher. She was a member of Faith Family Ministries in Frankfort, and enjoyed painting and spending time with family and friends. Her sons were her pride and joy.
Also surviving are her sons, Levi Asher of Kirklin, and Luke Asher at home; one sister, Billie (Mike) Staib of Alabama; grandparents, Dale and Elizabeth Burton of Kempton; two uncles, Gordy Meeks of Frankfort, and Donald Meeks of Lafayette; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her father, Lisha is preceded in death by one sister, Cami Burton.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort on Sunday, February 22, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. to the start of the memorial service 2:00 p.m. Pastor Cliff Howell will officiate.
